Ghanaian forward Naeem Mohammed played a crucial role in Halmstads BK securing a 2-2 draw against Hammarby in the Sweden Allsvenskan on Sunday.
The 27-year-old, who started and completed the entire match, contributed significantly by providing the assist for his team’s opening goal and subsequently scoring the equalizer to secure an important point for Halmstads.
Halmstads initiated the scoring with a goal from Viktor Granath in the 10th minute, assisted by Naeem Mohammed. However, Nahir Besara equalized for the hosts before halftime.
In the second half, Montenegro international Viktor Djukanovic put Hammarby in the lead in the 65th minute, but Naeem Mohammed responded swiftly, finding the back of the net just two minutes later to secure a crucial point for his team.
Following this standout performance, the 27-year-old Ghanaian forward has now accumulated eight goals in 26 matches for the Blue and Black outfit this season.
