German-Ghanaian striker Prince Osei Owusu has made a move to MLS outfit Toronto FC as part of the ongoing summer transfer window.
Prince Owusu departed SSV Jahn Regensburg following their relegation and experienced a period without a club presence.
The 26-year-old forward has reached an agreement with the Canadian team for a contract that extends until the conclusion of 2024. He will find himself sharing the pitch with international sensation Lionel Messi, who is currently associated with Inter Miami.
In the previous season, the striker emerged as Regensburg’s top scorer with a tally of nine goals. Notably, he has previously represented clubs such as Erzgebirge Aue, SC Paderborn, 1860 Munich, and Arminia Bielefeld.
Having taken part in 83 games in the second division and 58 games in the third division, the forward has now embarked on a new chapter in his career in the United States.
Prince Owusu has previously represented Germany at various youth levels, including U-15, U-18, and U-19, amassing five goals in 11 appearances. His international debut and first goal for Germany’s U-15 were recorded on November 8, 2011, during a friendly against Poland.
