Ghanaian forward Raphael Dwamena found the net for Albanian club FC Egnatia in a friendly match against Serie A team Inter Milan on Sunday.

The 27-year-old striker scored the opening goal in the high-profile friendly, although FC Egnatia ultimately suffered a 4-2 defeat against the 2022/23 Champions League finalists.

Dwamena’s strike came just seven minutes into the game, giving FC Egnatia a surprising lead over Inter Milan. The first half concluded with FC Egnatia maintaining their advantage thanks to Dwamena’s contribution.

However, Inter Milan managed to level the score with a goal from Nicolo Barella ten minutes into the second half. FC Egnatia quickly responded and regained the lead.

Fernando Medeiros extended FC Egnatia’s lead by converting a penalty in the 66th minute.

In a quick turnaround, Lautaro Martinez netted two goals for Inter Milan in the 79th and 82nd minutes, securing a 4-2 victory for the Serie A side.

Although Raphael Dwamena has scored three goals this season in two UEFA Conference League matches, his team unfortunately did not qualify for the next round of the competition.
