Bosnian Premier League club Sloga Doboj has announced the signing of Ghanaian forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom during the winter transfer window to strengthen their squad.
The 31-year-old striker, who has signed a one-and-a-half-year deal, becomes the league’s most high-profile signing this season as Sloga Doboj seeks to enhance their attacking options for the challenges ahead.
Boakye joined his new teammates for training yesterday, signaling his readiness to make an immediate impact. Speaking at his unveiling, the experienced forward said, “I want to focus on this club and its goals. I’m here for my team,” underlining his commitment to Sloga Doboj’s ambitions.
The club’s president, Miroslav Kršić, warmly welcomed Boakye, expressing confidence in his ability to elevate the team’s performances. Coach Nedim Jusufbegović also lauded the addition, emphasizing the boost Boakye brings to the squad’s attacking firepower.
Boakye arrives as a free agent after his contract with Malaysian side Selangor FC expired on January 1.
His impressive career includes notable stints with clubs like Red Star Belgrade, where he made a significant impact, and Atalanta in Italy’s Serie A.
