Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante continued his impressive form, scoring for Coventry City in their 2-0 away victory against Blackburn Rovers in the English Championship on Tuesday night.
Thomas-Asante has now scored in back-to-back games under manager Frank Lampard, with his latest goal helping the Sky Blues climb to 13th place in the Championship standings.
Despite Blackburn dominating possession in the first half, Coventry struck first through Ellis Simms, who found the net four minutes before the break.
Thomas-Asante doubled Coventry’s lead just three minutes into the second half, capitalizing on a precise assist from Simms to secure the win.
The 26-year-old was substituted in the 69th minute, making way for midfielder Josh Eccles after another solid performance.
With this goal, Thomas-Asante has taken his season tally to five goals and one assist across all competitions in 31 appearances for the 2024/25 campaign.
Coventry City will aim to build on this momentum as they prepare for their next Championship fixture.
