Ghana international defensive midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi has been crowned the 3F Superliga Young Player of the Year for the 2025/26 season following a standout campaign in Denmark’s top flight.
The 20-year-old, who is widely expected to secure a move away from Denmark this summer amid interest from top European clubs including Manchester United FC and Liverpool FC, earned the prestigious individual award after a series of impressive performances for FC Nordsjælland.
Yirenkyi saw off competition from Marcus McCoy, Julius Berthel Askou, Prince Junior, Olti Hyseni, Jacob Ambæk, Sofus Johannesen, and Thomas Jørgensen to claim the accolade, cementing his status as one of the league’s brightest emerging talents.
The highly-rated Right to Dream Academy graduate has made 33 appearances this season across all competitions, contributing two goals and six assists from midfield while delivering consistent all-round performances for the Danish side.
His influence in both defensive duties and attacking transitions has been central to FC Nordsjælland’s campaign, with his energy, tactical intelligence, and ball progression drawing widespread praise.
On the international stage, Yirenkyi has already earned eight caps for the Ghana national team, the Black Stars, and is seen as a strong contender to feature at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
With his reputation continuing to grow across Europe, the young midfielder is expected to be one of the most in-demand Ghanaian players in the upcoming transfer window.
