Ghanaian teenager Elisha Boateng has signed his first professional contract with newly promoted English League One side Milton Keynes Dons ahead of the 2026/27 season, the club has confirmed.
The 18-year-old right-back has been rewarded for his impressive development within the club’s academy system, where he has been identified as one of the most promising young talents in the youth ranks.
In an official statement announcing retained players and new professional deals, MK Dons confirmed Boateng’s promotion to the senior development group alongside four other academy prospects.
“Milton Keynes Dons can now reveal which players have been retained following the conclusion of the 25/26 season,” the club stated.
“First Professional Contracts and joining the Development Group for 26/27: Elisha Boateng, Hayden Boyce, Brooklyn Kazungu, Rian Silver and Damerai Singh-Hurditt.”
Born in Ghana but raised in the United Kingdom from a young age, Boateng has progressed steadily through the club’s youth system and is now regarded as one of the key future prospects at Stadium MK.
The promising full-back is expected to continue his development with the development squad as he works towards breaking into senior first-team football.
With his Ghanaian roots and rising profile in England, Boateng could also emerge as a potential long-term option for the Ghana national team in the future.
