Ghanaian winger Gideon Otabil has completed a move to Portuguese giants FC Porto, joining the club’s U19 team on a season-long loan deal from Maverick SC.
The 18-year-old attacker, who can operate on both the left and right wings, will spend the 2026/27 campaign in Portugal as he continues his development in one of Europe’s renowned football environments.
FC Porto have also secured an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the loan period should Otabil impress during his time with the club.
The move represents a significant step in the youngster’s career as he aims to adapt to European football and compete at a higher level with Porto’s youth setup.
