Ajax Amsterdam has secured the future of highly-rated attacking midfielder Levi Acheampong, signing him to a three-year contract until June 30, 2027.
The 16-year-old Dutch-born Ghanaian has risen through the club’s youth ranks since joining at the age of seven.
Acheampong’s impressive form for Ajax’s U17 side in the Dutch lower-tier league earned him a promotion to the senior team, and he has now inked his first professional contract.
The young midfielder has already represented the Netherlands at the U15 and U16 levels, but remains eligible to play for Ghana in the future.
According to Ajax’s official statement, “Ajax has signed Levi Acheampong. The attacking midfielder has signed a three-year contract, until June 30, 2027. This is the first contract for the youth player.”
Acheampong’s talent and potential have earned him recognition as one of the most highly-rated U18 offensive midfielders in European football.
