Ghanaian forward Ato Ampah made his first appearance for Chelsea in their 3-1 victory over Astana in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday afternoon.

The talented youngster, who has been highly regarded for his potential, came on as a substitute for Pedro Neto in the 46th-minute to mark his debut in the European competition.

Chelsea delivered a strong performance, securing all three points to strengthen their position in the group stage with brace from Marc Guiu and Renato Veiga. Ampah’s introduction highlights the club’s focus on nurturing young talent and integrating them into competitive fixtures.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has progressed through the ranks at the Blues’ academy, having joined as a 10-year-old.

Ampah has been a regular fixture for Chelsea’s U19 side this season and has caught the eye with his impressive performances. He is eligible to represent both England and Ghana, having been born in Accra.
