Jonah Kusi-Asare, a talented 16-year-old forward of Swedish and Ghanaian descent, expressed his joy upon completing his move to the esteemed German football club, Bayern Munich.

The promising player, who hails from Solna, Sweden, finalized a substantial long-term deal, marking a significant step in his burgeoning career after transferring from Swedish side AIK Solna.

Eager to further his development, Kusi-Asare is set to join Bayern Munich’s U19 team, fueled by aspirations to swiftly make a mark in the first team. Overflowing with excitement, he shared, “It’s an indescribable feeling. I am very happy to now be at what I consider to be the biggest club in the world and to have signed here. It’s a special day for me.”

Acknowledging the significance of Bayern Munich not only on a global scale but also in his home country, he remarked, “People in Sweden follow the players in the Champions League or Bundesliga very closely. The club is also very big there.” This acknowledgment highlights the impact and reputation Bayern Munich holds in the footballing world.

Born to Ghanaian parents, Kusi-Asare’s journey is poised for remarkable heights, owing to his exceptional potential. Sporting Director Christoph Freund emphasized this, stating, “Jonah Kusi-Asare is a young striker with enormous potential. He had a few offers, but he consciously chose FC Bayern because we were able to convince him how we wanted to build and develop him with us.”

Freund elaborated on Kusi-Asare’s attributes, praising his technical prowess, speed, height, physical robustness even at a young age, and an excellent ability to finish goals.

The club is thrilled to have secured the services of this rising star, with Freund expressing, “We are very pleased that he will play for FC Bayern in the future.” This underlines the club’s commitment to nurturing and maximizing the potential of promising talents within their ranks.
