Ghanaian youth prospect Sam Amo-Ameyaw found the back of the net for Southampton U21 in their commanding 6-0 victory over Reading in Premier League 2 on Friday, September 29, 2023.

The 17-year-old, who is also an England youth international with Ghanaian heritage, made a significant contribution to his team’s performance. His moment came in the 50th minute when he demonstrated his skill with a stylish run and an excellent finish, making it three-nil for Southampton.

He received the ball on the right, dribbled past two defenders, and calmly slotted the ball through the legs of the Reading goalkeeper.

Amo-Ameyaw had earlier opportunities to score in the match, particularly in the opening 15 minutes. He constantly posed a threat on the right wing and had his first shot in the 25th minute, delivering a low effort across the goal after showcasing his dribbling skills on the right flank.

Throughout the match at Snows Stadium, Amo-Ameyaw displayed his talents and stayed on the field for the entire duration of the game.
