In a gracious demonstration of sportsmanship, Asante Kotoko has extended warm congratulations to both Medeama and Dreams FC for their remarkable achievements in advancing to the group stage of the prestigious CAF Competitions.

The Porcupine Warriors expressed their congratulations through their official social media platforms, posting, “You believed and never gave up like Warriors do👏 From all of us at Asante Kotoko, we say a big congratulations for making it to the group stages of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup. You have our support.”

Medeama broke an eleven-year jinx by progressing to the group stage of the Champions League, while Dreams FC ended a five-year progression drought to the Confederation Cup.

The Yellow and Mauve outfit represented Ghana in the preliminary round of the CAF Inter-club competition after winning the Premier League last season.

In the final playoff round of the preliminary stages, Medeama SC faced off against Horoya AC.

Today, in Conakry, Medeama SC suffered a 2-1 defeat to Horoya AC, but this couldn’t prevent the Ghanaians from advancing to the group stages of the CAF Champions League.

With a 3-1 first-leg advantage over Horoya AC, Medeama SC secured progression in the competition with a 4-3 aggregate victory.

Meanwhile, Dreams Football Club overcame Kallon FC to reach the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.

After winning the MTN FA Cup title last season, the Dawu-based club earned the right to represent Ghana in Africa.

Over the past few weeks, the club has been involved in several matches in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup, aiming to reach the group stages.

Last weekend, Dreams FC hosted Kallon FC at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg of the final playoff tie. In an exciting contest, the Ghanaian club secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

Today, Dreams FC played an away match against Kallon FC and managed to hold the opponent to a 1-1 draw.
