Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku showcased an outstanding defensive performance on Wednesday evening, aiding Fenerbahçe SK in their victory against FC Zimbru Chișinău during the UEFA Europa Conference League qualification.

Making his official debut for the Turkish Super Lig side, Djiku started as a key player in the first leg of the playoff match against the Moldovan team.

Djiku left no room for mistakes at the back, contributing to Fenerbahçe SK’s clean sheet in the game. The hosts dominated the match, securing a comfortable lead with goals from Ferdi Kadıoğlu and Ryan Kent in the first 15 minutes.

In the second half, Fenerbahçe SK continued their dominance, with Edin Dzeko, Sebastian Szymański, and Joshua King adding to the goal tally, leading to a convincing win against FC Zimbru Chișinău.

Throughout the entire 90 minutes of the contest, Alexander Djiku displayed an impressive defensive prowess, contributing significantly to his team’s victory.
