Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil is on cloud nine after netting brace in KRC Genk’s win over KAS Eupen on Saturday afternoon.
The Ghanaian got his first brace of the season in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League with a beautiful performance in the game for the Blue and Whites outfit.
“A brace & 3 big points for the weekend. We move on to the next challenge.Vamos”, he wrote on social media.
He broke the deadlock of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up early in the game after just three minutes from a very difficult angle from the right side of the box into the bottom left corner.
Six minutes later, Paintsil was celebrating his second goal of the match as his right-footed shot from the center of the box went straight into the center of the goal post to make it 2-0 to the home team.
The visitors scored a consolation after 32 minutes but the hosts restored their two goals advantage before the first half break with Smail Prevljak scoring for Eupen before Patrik Hrosovsky made it 3-1.
Regan Charles-Cook scored early in the second half of the match to make it 3-2 and the visitors started believing again but Mike Tresor made sure Genk took all three points with a late goal to make the final score 4-2.
The 24-year-old Ghana International has two goals and one assist in three matches this season in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League for Genk.
