Daniel Laryea has been selected to serve as the Video Assistant Referee for the highly anticipated TotalEnergies CAF Champions League semifinal 2nd leg match between Al Ahly SC (Egypt) and Esperance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia).
The officials, including Laryea, will oversee the match to ensure its success. Al Ahly SC is Africa’s most successful club, with an impressive record of 10 CAF Champions League titles, 42 Egyptian Premier League titles, 1 CAF Confederation Cup, 8 CAF Super Cups, 4 African Cup Winners’ Cups, and 3 bronze medals in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Esperance Sportive de Tunis is also highly successful, having won 32 Tunisian Professional Ligue 1 titles, 15 Tunisian Cups, and 6 Tunisian Super Cups domestically.
On the continental front, they have won the CAF Champions League four times (1994, 2011, 2018, 2019), the African Cup Winners Cup once, the CAF Cup once, and the CAF Super Cup once.
