‘Ghana’s future’ Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has joined Ghana national team in Accra on Monday afternoon after arriving from Portugal ahead of time for Friday’s game against Nigeria.
The little magician has been a revelation in Ghana Football since bursting into the football scene with his superlative and mouth-watering displays.
He recently joined Portuguese top-flight side Sporting CP in Lisbon and has been rightfully been invited by Ghana coach Otto Addo and his assistants George Boateng and Más’UD Didi Dramani.
Fatawu Issahaku won the CAF U20 best player in the CAF Confederation Youth tournament hosted in Mauritania and won by Ghana’s Black Satellites.
He also played at the 33rd CAF Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon where Ghana placed last in their group after defeat to Comoros.
The young man could be Ghana’s wild card in their quest to beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria to book their tickets to the next FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar later this year.
