Inaki Williams is set to rejoin the Black Stars after being sidelined during the last international window due to an injury.
The Athletic Bilbao forward is expected to be part of Ghana’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger in September.
Williams had to miss Ghana’s previous two matches after undergoing surgery late in the season, which also kept him out of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Despite his absence, the Black Stars managed to secure important back-to-back victories against Mali and the Central African Republic, keeping their hopes alive for tournament qualification.
Now recovered, Williams recently played in Athletic Bilbao’s La Liga opener against Getafe, and he is ready to contribute to Ghana’s AFCON campaign.
The Black Stars will face Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 5 before heading to Niger on September 9.
Otto Addo’s team is focused on securing a top-two finish in Group F to qualify for the AFCON tournament, set to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, in Morocco.
