Black Meteors head coach Ibrahim Tanko has confirmed that FC Nordsjaelland star Ernest Nuamah will be at the 2023 CAF U-23 Championship in Morocco.
The gaffer has handed the Red and Yellow Tigers starman a spot in the 29-man squad for the upcoming 2023 CAF U-23 Championship in Morocco which starts on June 24.
He scored 19 goals for the club in the 2022-23 Denmark Superliga to help his side secure a second place finish and won a silver medal at the end of the season.
He was named the Spring Best Player (voted head coaches), Player of the Year (voted by players), Young Player of the Year (voted by league’s Panel of Experts).
Black Meteors are in the same group as hosts Morocco, Guinea and Congo Brazzaville in Group A in a tournament that starts on 24th June.
Ghana will kick off their tournament with a game against Congo on June 25, before battling hosts Morocco and Guinea on June 27 and June 30 for a place in the semi-final.
The 2023 TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations will be staged in Morocco between June 24 and July 8, 2023.
