Sweden Allsvenskan team Hammarby IF youngster Nathaniel Adjei has earned a spot in the 29-man squad of the Black Meteors team by head coach Ibrahim Tanko.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian prodigy has played in seven games this season in the Sweden Allsvenskan for the Green and Whites outfit this campaign.
Adjei played for Ghana’s U20 team as they won the West African Football Union (WAFU) zone B tournament and the Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania.
He has scored one goal in seven games this season for his club which has earned him a spot in the Ghana Olympics team.
Black Meteors are in the same group as hosts Morocco, Guinea and Congo Brazzaville in Group A in a tournament that starts on 24th June.
Ghana will kick off their tournament with a game against Congo on June 25, before battling hosts Morocco and Guinea on June 27 and June 30 for a place in the semi-final.
The 2023 TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations will be staged in Morocco between June 24 and July 8, 2023.
