In the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, the Porcupine Warriors maintained their perfect form by humble their noisy rivals, Hearts of Oak.
At the Baba Yara Stadium in the Matchday 14 games, Kotoko fought back to secure a 3-2 victory against Hearts of Oak.
A brace from Steven Mukwala and a goal from Isaac Oppong sealed the win for the Porcupine Warriors, with Linda Mtange and Martin Kakari scoring the two goals for the Phobians.
After the game, Kotoko deputy coach, David Ocloo attributed their victory to consistent performance, emphasizing the dynamic nature of football.
“Gone are the days where form does not count in Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko games but now football is dynamic,” he said.
“It keeps changing, and that’s the difference you saw here today. Our victory is due to consistency,” he added.
Asante Kotoko currently holds the 7th position on the Premier League log with 22 points and is set to host Great Olympics in the Matchday 15 games this weekend.
