Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana could return from injury on May 4th to play for French Ligue 1 side Stade de Rennes, the club manager has confirmed.
According to the manager, Bruno Genesio, the club expect him to recover from his injury by May 4 and play in their final three games before the end of the 2021-22 season.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian prodigy last played for Rennes against PSG as a substitute in the final minutes of a 1-0 loss at Le Parc des Princes.
“Kamaldeen (Sulemana) we are still waiting. He underwent an infiltration, we had to wait three weeks, I believe that we will be ten days away, there are still a fortnight before waiting for the verdict.
“We will therefore have to wait until May 4 at least to find out more,” Rennes coach Bruno Génésio said.
The youngster has four goals in 20 Ligue 1 games for Stade Rennais since joining from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland in 2021 summer.
He’s been since February after returning from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament and also missed the Black Stars’ victory against Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs in late March.
