In a fiercely contested Ghana Premier League week 15 clash on Sunday, Bofoakwa Tano and Legon Cities clashed at the Theater of Dreams, Dawu.
Bofoakwa Tano, temporarily banned from their home ground due to an incident in a previous fixture, faced Legon Cities as the away team. Despite the venue change, Legon Cities managed to secure a narrow victory, claiming all three points in the much-anticipated encounter.
Suraje Yusif Kamal was the hero for Legon Cities, scoring the decisive goal in the 32nd minute, setting the tone for the Royals’ advantage going into halftime.
Under the guidance of their new coach, John Eduafo, Bofoakwa Tano sought to recover from recent setbacks but faced defeat in his first competitive game for the club. Despite no additional goals in the second half, Legon Cities maintained their lead, ultimately securing the victory.
This triumph extends Legon Cities’ winning streak to three games, positioning them 8th on the Ghana Premier League table with 21 points after 15 games.
On the other hand, Bofoakwa Tano, now winless in their last four games, sits in the 12th position with 16 points.
