Despite having the home advantage, Real Tamale United couldn’t secure a win as they faced defeat against Berekum Chelsea in a highly competitive Ghana Premier League match on Sunday at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
In a game filled with intensity, the Berekum-based club, Bibires, emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win over the Pride of the North, extending their winning streak.
The crucial goal came from the foot of forward Kofi Patric Ansu.
The first half concluded with both teams locked in a pulsating goalless draw, struggling to break the deadlock. However, Berekum Chelsea turned the tide in the second half, securing the three points with Kofi Patric Ansu finding the back of the net in the 57th minute.
Real Tamale United continues to face challenges in the ongoing campaign, suffering three consecutive defeats in the Ghana Premier League.
Chelsea’s win propels them to the third position on the league standings with 26 points from 15 games, while RTU drops to the 17th position with 14 points.
