GPL Matchweek 21 Preview: Medeama host Bechem United in Tarkwa

In Tarkwa, champions Medeama SC will take on Bechem United at Akoon Park. Medeama SC who have two outstanding games against Accra Lions and Aduana FC are currently 10th in the table with 26 points, having won 1, drawn 3 and suffered 1 defeat in their last 5 league games.

The Yellow and Mauves have huffed and puffed all season combining the continental competition (TotalEnergies CAF Champions League) with domestic football. As they have managed 17 points at home following 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss – scoring 7 and conceding 3 league goals in the process.

Bechem United fought gallantly to gun down leaders FC Samartex 1996 1-0 on Sunday. The Hunters are 7th position in the league table with 29 points following 2 wins and 3 losses in their last 5 games.

Bechem United are currently without a head coach after the dismissal of Bismark Kobby Mensah. They have won 2, drawn 3, suffered 4 defeats – scored 9 and conceded 11 league goals with one game in hand.

The two clubs have clashed in Tarkwa three times since the 2020/21 season and . Medeama SC have beaten Bechem United in all three home games. Bechem United also boast Cephas Mantey, Emmanuel Abbabio, Francis Acquah, Emmanuel Annor, Clinton Duodu, Joseph Kinful, Samuel Kuffour, Seth Kwadwo and Isaiah Nyarko.
