As the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season nears its conclusion, teams are scrambling to accumulate as many points as possible for various reasons.

Most of the top six clubs consider themselves title contenders and are eager to win as many games as possible to stake their claim for the championship.

For the bottom five clubs, the remaining matches will present a daunting challenge, knowing that they need to win games to have a chance of avoiding relegation at the end of the season.

This weekend, all 18 participating clubs will be in action for Week 29 of the league.

One of the many games scheduled to take place on Sunday is the match between Karela United and Berekum Chelsea.

Karela United goes into the fixture following a narrow victory over Real Tamale United that lifted them above the relegation zone.

The team has struggled this season with two wins and three defeats in their last five games.

Knowing that a loss this weekend could put them back in the danger zone, Karela United has prepared well for the clash with Berekum Chelsea and is targeting a win.

However, Berekum Chelsea, the visiting team, will not be easy to beat. They have had a good season and are in with a chance of winning the Ghana Premier League title.

Berekum Chelsea has won three games, drawn one, and lost one in their last five matches.

They are currently seven points behind league leaders Aduana Stars, and a win over Karela United could cut that gap in half.

The Karela United versus Berekum Chelsea game will be played at CAM Park on Sunday, April 30 and it will start at 15:00 GMT.
