Minority leader of Ghana’s parliament, Haruna Iddrisu, has bought Ghana Premier League side Karela United, according to Ghanasoccernet.com.
Iddrisu, who currently owns Division One League side Steadfast FC, has now added a top-flight league side to his list.
According to Ghanasoccernet.com the deal was done before the 2022 FIFA World Cup began.
It is believed that the club will relocate to the Nothern part of the country and still participate in the Ghana Premier League. A change of name is yet to be confirmed.
After eight rounds of matches, Karela United are 14th on the table with 10 points from the available 24.
