Swedru All Blacks will be aiming to build on their impressive victory over Asante Kotoko when they host Karela United in a Matchday Seven fixture of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
The Black Magicians secured their second victory of the campaign last weekend with a dramatic stoppage-time winner against the Porcupine Warriors, giving them a timely boost ahead of their home encounter with Karela United.
All Blacks will be eager to maintain that momentum and record consecutive victories for the first time this season as they seek to improve their position in the league standings.
Their impressive home record could prove decisive, having suffered just one defeat in their last 18 Ghana Premier League matches at the Swedru Sports Stadium.
That consistency on home soil provides the hosts with confidence as they prepare to face a Karela United side that has struggled to collect points away from home this season.
Karela, popularly known as the Pride and Passion lads, will travel south in search of their first away point of the campaign after losing all three of their away fixtures so far.
Their inability to secure positive results on the road has increased the pressure on the team as they attempt to revive their league campaign.
The club’s recent away record offers little encouragement, with Karela last recording an away victory in the Ghana Premier League in February, when they defeated Dreams FC.
Since then, they have gone eight consecutive away league matches without a win, including defeats in each of their last four visits.
The statistics present Swedru All Blacks with an opportunity to capitalise on their opponents’ difficulties away from home and strengthen their position on the league table.
However, Karela United will be determined to end their disappointing run and secure a positive result that could provide a much-needed boost to their campaign.
With All Blacks seeking to turn their victory over Kotoko into a winning run and Karela desperate to halt their away struggles, Sunday’s encounter promises to be an important test for both sides as the Ghana Premier League enters its seventh matchweek.
