Stephen Owusu Banahene, the talented midfielder of Bibiani Goldstars, has confirmed that he is currently engaged in discussions with Hearts of Oak, regarding a potential transfer.
Hearts of Oak is actively searching for a skilled and high-quality midfielder to bolster their squad for the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.
The club has reportedly identified Banahene as the ideal candidate to complement their team and enhance their performance in the new season.
In an interview with Kessben FM, Banahene revealed, “Hearts of Oak have expressed interest in me and we are in talks but we are yet to agree on a fee. Both parties are yet to reach agreement but we are still in talks. Hearts of Oak can improve next season provided they put things together and appoint a good coach and that is serving as a motivation for me to join them,” he confirmed.
Banahene, who is currently 28 years old, joined Bibiani Goldstars in February 2023 and played a crucial role in helping the club secure a commendable 5th position on the Ghana Premier League table in the last season.
