Ghana international Mathew Anim Cudjoe has assured fans of Dundee United to expect the very best from him after enjoying a good pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
The gifted forward is loving the opportunity provided by Jim Goodwin.
Cudjoe, 19, has made a strong case for a starting spot after a great start to the season, with standout performances against Falkirk, where he claimed the Man of the Match award and Carlisle in the Scottish League Cup.
He combined brilliantly with Tony Watt and Louis Moult as the Tangerines won 2-0 at Brunton Park on Saturday, and he was unlucky not to score, as he was against the Bairns.
However, the 738-strong travelling support did not stop singing to him after a few daring rushes forward.
And, as United’s Championship opener against Arbroath approaches, Cudjoe feels there will be plenty more to come.
“I love everyone who comes to support the club and it is special when they sing for me,” he told Courier Sport. “All we ever want to do is make them happy. Last season was not good and we want to give everything back to them.
“It (this season) has been a very good time for me and I think I am starting to show my quality to everyone. I am happy to start every game and, when the coach selects me, I want to prove myself.
The forward has already been the subject of huge praise from his manager and would look to repay the faith in him.
