GPL Week 7 Preview: Unbeaten Bofoakwa Tano host struggling Accra Lions

Bofoakwa Tano – one of the Unbeaten sides in the betPawa Premier League will square off with Accra Lions on Matchday 7 at the Sunyani Coronation Park Friday. 

Accra Lions – winless in their last three games in the betPawa Premier League have conceded 6 goals in their last two games and lost three consecutive times against Asante Kotoko, Accra Great Olympics and Real Tamale United.

Bofoakwa Tano who were off to a brilliant start to the season after winning their first two games have drawn their last three games but have yet to lose a game after six Matchdays. 

The Sunyani based club are unbeaten at home following with two wins and one draw against Real Tamale United, Hearts of Oak and Bibiani Gold Stars.

Accra Lions are winless on the road this season having drawn 2-2 against Medeama SC in Tarkwa, 1-1 against BerekumChelsea and lost 3-0 to Accra Great Olympics.

Bofoakwa Tano have won two of their last five games in the league and sit 4th in the table with 10 points whiles Accra Lions occupy the 18th spot with 5 points after winning one, drawing one and losing 3 games in their last five matches. 

Saaka Dauda who has netted 2 goals at home for Bofoakwa Tano will be available for selection with Benjamin York, Blessing Dana, Bright Kyereh, Andrews Kwadwo Appau, Clement Ansah and Najib Fuseini Ibrahim all aiming to start for Bofoakwa Tano.

Accra Lions side have the likes of Baba Salifu Apiiga, Bernald Kesse, David Oduro, Remember Adomako Boateng, Daniel Kwame Awuni and Shawkan- Hunalf Mohammed available to start. 

The game will be broadcast live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247 at 3pm on Friday, October 27,2023.
