Ghana’s Black Stars have received a great news and a major boost as Arsenal FC midfielder Thomas Partey joins the Ghana team ahead of Pre-Afcon friendly against Algeria.
The midfielder took part of the Black Stars team training on Tuesday upon his arrival and is set to represent Ghana at the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon in a few days time.
Partey played in Arsenal’s defeat at home to League leaders Manchester City over the weekend and was a standout performer for the Gunners.
After his thrilling display against City last Saturday, the Ghanaian international headed to national team camping in high spirit to link up with his colleagues in to wrap up preparations for the tournament.
There’s no doubt that, Partey’s arrival will serve as aggood boost for Milovan Rajevac’s team who begin their campaign on the 10th of January against Morocco and also in the friendly against Algeria on 5th January.
The Stars will then play Gabon on 14th January before playing Comoros on 18th to round off the group stages
