In what was anticipated to be a thrilling clash, Great Olympics coach Annor Walker is left grappling with disappointment as their match against city rivals Hearts of Oak ended in a goalless draw.
The fixture, serving as the captivating opener for matchday 16 of the Ghana Premier League, took place under the floodlights at the Baba Yara Stadium on a Friday evening.
Originally scheduled for Accra, the match was moved to Kumasi due to the unavailability of the Accra Sports Stadium, setting the stage for an intense encounter between the fierce adversaries.
However, despite the charged atmosphere and numerous goal-scoring opportunities, both teams had to settle for a share of the spoils.
This marks the sixth consecutive match without a victory for the Dade Boys, extending their concerning trend. The second consecutive goalless draw in this encounter has visibly left Coach Annor Walker dissatisfied and disheartened.
“I will say I’m not happy with the second draw that I’ve had this afternoon or this evening. Seriously, I’m really disappointed as a coach for my boys,” he expressed.
Accra Great Olympics will face Real Tamale United in their next league game.
