Ghanaian international Tariq Lamptey expressed his joy after contributing to Brighton and Hove Albion’s impressive 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.
Lamptey, showcasing his versatility, played for 80 minutes and played a significant role in the win, rebounding from their mid-week defeat against Luton Town.
Starting on the left side of the defense, Lamptey delivered a crucial assist in the 33rd minute, setting up Jack Hinshelwood to extend Brighton’s lead.
“Great win, nice way to bounce back. An assist. Thanks for the support as always,” Lamptey shared on Instagram post-match.
Lewis Dunk had earlier secured Brighton’s advantage with a goal 30 minutes into the game from a Pascal Gross cross. Facundo Buonanotte added a third just a minute after Hinshelwood’s strike. Crystal Palace’s Jean Philippe Mateta pulled one back in the second half, assisted by Joachim Andersen. However, Brighton maintained control as Joao Pedro capitalized on Danny Welbeck’s pass, sealing the win with a three-goal lead.
Ghanaian compatriots Jeffrey Schlupp and Jordan Ayew played for Crystal Palace, with Ayew completing the entire duration of the match.
