Southampton manager Russel Martin has shared that Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana could make his comeback for the Saints next week.
The former Stade Rennais attacker has been sidelined since November due to an injury that has impacted his campaign.
Despite showing signs of match fitness during the week, Sulemana was not included in the squad for the game against Rotherham United.
However, Manager Martin is optimistic about the winger’s imminent return, emphasizing the boost it will provide to the club as they enter a crucial phase of the season.
“We had Sam Edozie on the bench today, great that we didn’t need to put him out there, so we can really use the next week to get him really ready, the same as Kamaldeen [Sulemana], so we’re going to have even more options with Breezy [James Bree] on the way back too,” Martin stated post-game.
Having made 13 appearances this season and contributing three assists for the promotion-chasing Southampton, Sulemana’s return is eagerly anticipated by the team and supporters alike.
