Hamburger SV are on the verge of completing the signing of Kofi Amoako after the 21-year-old midfielder successfully underwent a medical in Hamburg on Thursday morning.
The German club are set to finalise a deal worth just under €2 million with Dynamo Dresden, with the remaining paperwork expected to be signed on Friday.
Once completed, Amoako will sign a four-year contract that will keep him at HSV until the summer of 2030, marking a major step forward in his young career as he prepares for a higher level of competition.
The Germany U20 international has steadily progressed through the German football system. He began his early development at TSV Fortuna Sachsenross before moving into structured youth football and later joining VfL Wolfsburg’s setup.
In June 2025, Amoako made a permanent switch to Dynamo Dresden in a deal worth around €300,000 after an encouraging loan spell at VfL Osnabrück, where he gained valuable senior experience in the 2. Bundesliga.
Hamburger SV are now expected to reward his development with a long-term project, viewing him as a dynamic midfield option capable of adding energy and depth as they continue building for the future.
