Hearts of Oak striker Hamza Issah has turned his focus to the club’s upcoming series of critical matches, starting with the highly anticipated Super Clash against fierce rivals Asante Kotoko.
“We are fully focused on our responsibilities because there are big games ahead that we must tackle to bring joy to all Phobians,” Hamza shared in an exclusive interview with Hearts Communications.
The Super Clash, slated for Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Baba Yara Stadium, remains one of the fiercest rivalries in Ghanaian football. Hamza expressed his contentment at Hearts of Oak, highlighting his strong relationships with the board, management, technical team, teammates, and fans.
“I find these rumors strange. I haven’t had any discussions with anyone about such issues. If I ever have concerns, I’ll address them directly with management rather than outsiders who have no authority or ability to assist me,” Hamza clarified, dismissing speculation about his dissatisfaction.
The striker, who has netted three goals in 12 appearances this season, acknowledged his determination to improve his tally. Last season, he was a standout performer, scoring 13 goals in 28 league games.
“I’m unhappy with the few goals I’ve scored so far. I’m working extra hard to increase my tally, which will bring me great satisfaction and contribute to the team’s success,” Hamza added.
The Super Clash provides an opportunity for Hamza to rediscover his scoring touch and help Hearts of Oak secure crucial points in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
