Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana has expressed his relief and joy after returning from injury following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Sulemana, who had been out since featuring in Atalanta’s Serie A clash against Lecce in August, is now focused on regaining full fitness and making a significant impact at the club.
The Black Stars midfielder made his comeback on Saturday during Atalanta’s emphatic 5-1 win over Genoa, coming on as a substitute in the 78th minute to replace Ederson. This appearance was only his second since joining the Italian club, but it marked an important step in his recovery.
Reacting to the victory, Sulemana took to Instagram to share his excitement, writing, “Happy to be back +3 points.”
Now aiming for more consistent playing time, Sulemana is also set to join the Black Stars after being included in Otto Addo’s 25-man squad for their crucial upcoming fixture against Sudan later this month.
