West Ham United striker Michail Antonio has lauded the exceptional contributions of Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus since joining the club.
Kudus, a standout performer for the English Premier League side since his arrival from Ajax last year, has been earning accolades for his stellar performances and stunning goals.
One such goal, a remarkable solo effort against SC Freiburg in the Europa League, drew particular praise for its brilliance.
According to Antonio, Kudus possesses abundant quality and is capable of producing more spectacular moments for West Ham United.
“I definitely haven’t seen a [better] one this season. There might have been one close to it with Dimitri Payet against Middlesbrough [in 2016], but it’s an unbelievable goal. The guy [Mohammed Kudus] has that in abundance, and it won’t be the last time he’ll do that,” Antonio remarked.
Reflecting on Kudus’s evolution at the club, Antonio highlighted the Ghanaian’s growing confidence and remarkable skills displayed in training sessions.
“When he first came, he was quite quiet. He kept himself to himself and kept everything quite basic in training. As he’s built his confidence in games, in training he’s just come alive. The certain things he’s been doing in training… it’s like the ball is glued to his feet, it’s actually unbelievable,” Antonio added.
Kudus’s standout performances have solidified his status as one of the premier attackers in the English Premier League, further enhancing West Ham United’s prospects in domestic and European competitions.
