Hearts of Oak’s coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, is calling upon the fans to back the team as they strive to improve their performance in the ongoing season.
Under Ouattara’s guidance, the Phobians have clinched two consecutive victories in the Ghana Premier League since he assumed leadership.
Despite initially trailing behind, the team displayed remarkable resilience and determination, clinching a 2-1 victory against Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Koramansah Park during the week 19 fixture last Sunday.
Nsoatreman FC seized an early lead, with Walid Neymah Fuseini netting the opening goal in the 23rd minute. Nevertheless, Ouattara’s halftime strategy proved effective, as Hearts of Oak emerged stronger in the second half.
Salifu Ibrahim’s shot, deflected off an opponent, found the net, equalizing the scores. Eight minutes later, Ivorian forward Cisse Kassim capitalized on a brilliant team play to score a splendid goal.
Expressing gratitude to the fans, Ouattara emphasized the pivotal role they play in supporting the team. He underscored that the team belongs to the supporters and called for their unwavering backing, stating that their support can propel the team to greater heights.
With this victory, Hearts of Oak ascended to the seventh position in the league standings, amassing a total of 27 points.
Next up, the Phobians are set to face Bofoakwa Tano in the week 20 fixture scheduled for the upcoming weekend.
