Hearts of Oak Board Member, Frank Nelson Nwokolo, has affirmed the board’s steadfast support for Coach Martin Koopman, despite the team’s disappointing start to the season.
The appointment of the Dutch coach had raised hopes among Hearts of Oak fans, fueled by the team’s impressive form in preseason matches. However, the team’s league campaign has not lived up to expectations, with Koopman experiencing two defeats in the first three matches.
Nwokolo, speaking to Max FM in Accra, Frank Nelson emphasized the board’s confidence in the coach despite the challenging beginning to the season.
“He will do the job. I am sure he can do the job. When you check his CV, there is no doubt he will deliver. We (the board) are backing the coach because we know he can do the job,” Nwokolo stated.
Hearts of Oak’s next league match will be against Dreams FC, and they remain committed to their support for Coach Koopman as they seek to improve their performance.
