Samartex has successfully finalized the permanent transfer of defender James Sewornu during the current ongoing transfer window.
Sewornu was on loan at Samartex throughout the previous season, playing a pivotal role in the club’s commendable survival in the Ghana Premier League campaign. Over the course of the 2022/23 season, he showcased his abilities in 28 matches and contributed with an assist.
His impressive performances as a young center-back left a lasting impact on the club, prompting them to secure his talents on a permanent basis from Hearts of Oak.
The determined defender has inked a three-year contract that binds him to the club until 2026.
FC Samartex proudly announced the permanent acquisition of center-back James Sewornu, who had previously been on loan from Accra Hearts of Oak last season. The transformative impact of Sewornu’s outstanding displays has motivated us to secure his services for a span of three years,” the club announced on their official Twitter account.
This significant signing marks James Sewornu as the third addition to the Samartex squad, joining the ranks of previously acquired talents Samuel Mensah Tetteh and Desmond Gyabeng.
