Black Stars midfielder, Baba Iddrisu has joined Spanish La Liga outfit UD Almeria in the ongoing summer transfer window in a deal worth 2.5 million euros, Sportsworldghana.com can exclusively report.
The Ghanaian international is anticipated to formalize a three-year contract with Almeria, marking his transition from his previous La Liga team, Real Mallorca, on Thursday, August 10.
Iddrisu, who faced irregular playing time at Mallorca, a team that secured a 9th place finish in the previous season’s table, has decided to join Almeria in pursuit of more significant opportunities on the field. His ambition is to solidify his position within the Black Stars team.
Amid their determination to fortify their squad for the upcoming season, the Rojiblancos have been proactive in the transfer market after narrowly averting relegation.
Having initially joined Mallorca in 2014 from Leganes, Iddrisu accrued a total of 91 appearances for the club during his tenure.
