Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak Dr Nyaho Tamakloe says he hinted to Slavko Matic the trouble he could be in as head coach of the side if he failed to get the needed results.
Before the weekend’s game at the Accra Sports Stadium, which also served as the fixture of the 2023 President’s Cup, against their bitter rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the Serbian manager was not permitted to conduct his training sessions at the Pobiman Training Complex.
The team has only won once in their previous ten Premier League contests, most recently in the GA Mantse Derby against Great Olympics. Matic’s guidance also saw the team eliminated from the MTN FA Cup by Dreams FC in the round of 32.
Matic was not seen on the touchline when Hearts played Kotoko. In his absence assistant coach, David Ocloo took responsibility for the whole duration of the game.
But Nyaho Tamakloe has revealed he warned the Serbian of what lied ahead of him earlier on.
“I personally called Matic and advised him, that he should be careful of the supporters,” he said on Asempa FM.
“The success of the club depends on the playing team and the supporters, if you don’t get good results, supporters of the club will react, not violently.
“If he is not careful, and we keep our chalking bad results, the supporters will get him out of the club.”
