Hearts of Oak have provided an injury update on midfielder Salifu Ibrahim following their clash with Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League’s week 14 encounter last Sunday.
Salifu Ibrahim, who had a brilliant start to the titanic clash by setting up his team’s opening goal, was forced off in the second half due to an injury setback.
Hearts of Oak, however, confirmed his absence from Tuesday’s training session but anticipate his return to training on Wednesday.
In the fiercely contested match, Kotoko secured a 3-2 victory over Hearts of Oak, with Uganda forward Steven Mukwala scoring a brace in the second half.
Linda Mtange had initially given Hearts of Oak the lead, while Isaac Oppong equalized before halftime. Martin Karikari scored in the final minute to reduce the deficit for the Phobians.
