Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has promised fans a victory against their fierce rivals, Asante Kotoko, in the highly anticipated Super Clash.
The two most storied clubs in Ghanaian football will lock horns on Matchday 13 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League. The Porcupine Warriors will host the Phobians at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Speaking after Hearts of Oak’s 1-1 draw with Nsoatreman FC in Matchday 12 on Saturday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Ouattara expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure all three points.
“Why not? Why not? Why not? Do you think we’re going there to play for a draw? I want the three points! This is Hearts of Oak. We are determined to make our fans proud,” the Ivorian coach declared.
The Phobians currently sit sixth on the league table with 19 points after 12 games, riding on a four-game unbeaten streak. However, they are eager to return to winning ways after their recent draw against Nsoatreman.
Asante Kotoko, meanwhile, head into the clash on a high after a morale-boosting 2-0 win over Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, which ended a dismal run of four consecutive losses.
Sunday’s encounter promises to be a thrilling battle as both teams aim to assert dominance and claim bragging rights in Ghana’s most celebrated football rivalry.
