Glid Otanga, a midfielder for Hearts of Oak, attributes their defeat against Real Tamale United to a loss of concentration during the match.
Despite taking a 1-0 lead, the Phobians succumbed to a 2-1 loss against RTU at the Accra Sports Stadium on match day 33.
This defeat marks their fifth loss in their last six games of the 2022/23 BetPawa Premier League season.
Currently occupying the 11th position with 45 points, Hearts of Oak will play their final game of the season away against Berekum Chelsea.
Otanga, who was named the best player of the game, expressed his thoughts on the match. He stated, “We prepared for this game under all circumstances, and the coaching staff did everything possible for this match. We started with good intentions, but I believe we lost concentration during the game.
“The coach emphasized the need for us to be more focused in the second half. Although we put in more effort in the first 15 minutes, we eventually lost our focus, which led to conceding the goal.” Otanga shared these remarks with StarTimes.
