Asamoah Gyan, former striker for the Black Stars, remains optimistic that Hearts of Oak will improve in the upcoming season despite their lackluster performance.
The Phobians have had a disappointing run in the current 2022/23 Ghana Premier League campaign. With just one game left in the season, they currently sit in 11th place with 45 points.
Following their defeat at the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak have now suffered five losses in their last six matches.
Gyan, the all-time leading goalscorer for the country, believes that the FA Cup holders will bounce back stronger in the next season.
In an interview with Asempa FM, he stated, “When you watch Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, you expect them to be at the top. With Hearts of Oak, I believe they will make a comeback.”
Hearts of Oak will conclude their season with an away game against Berekum Chelsea in the matchday 34 fixtures, taking place on Sunday at the Golden City Park.
