Mohammed Polo, a legendary figure associated with Hearts of Oak, has voiced concerns about the club’s performance, attributing their struggles in the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season to a lack of proper technical direction.
The Phobians currently find themselves in the 11th position after 16 games, with 18 points—comprising three wins, nine draws, and four defeats.
Following the mutual termination of Martin Koopman’s contract, Hearts of Oak is in search of a new head coach, adding an additional layer of uncertainty to the team’s future. Polo, recognizing the exceptional talent within the club, emphasizes the critical need for robust technical guidance.
“Accra Hearts of Oak have an exceptional and good team but lack good technical directions. The team needs great technical directions, as Asante Kotoko Sporting Club,” Polo conveyed to Asanteman MEDIA Network.
While acknowledging the investment by Togbe XIV for the club’s success, Polo underscores the importance of aligning efforts properly to yield desired results. He urges those in charge to collaborate with Togbe to address supporters’ concerns for improvement and positive outcomes.
“Togbe XIV is investing well for the success of the club but not yielding the exact results so things must done properly to help the King.
“Those in charge must help Togbe to listen to the plead of the supporters for improvement and good results,” he added.
Amidst these challenges, Hearts of Oak aims to bounce back to winning ways as they prepare to host Bechem United in the upcoming Matchday 17 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium.
