Accra Hearts of Oak have reached an agreement with Division One outfit Golden Kick FC for the transfer of talented young defender Baba Adamu, reliable sources have confirmed.
The deal paves the way for the left-footed centre-back to join the Phobians ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, pending the completion of personal terms.
Adamu is expected to sign a three-year contract with the former league champions once final details are settled.
Renowned for his calmness under pressure and solid defensive instincts, the young defender stood out during the recently concluded season. His performances caught the eye of several top-flight clubs, but Hearts acted quickly to secure his signature as part of their ongoing squad overhaul.
With a focus on youth and long-term planning under a refreshed technical setup, the Phobians see Adamu as a key addition to strengthen their defence and inject fresh energy into the team.
He is anticipated to play a significant role in Hearts’ ambitions for a more competitive showing in the upcoming league campaign.
